Early Spring 2011
Groundworks were undertaken to rid the site of weeds, numerous trees were planted and the land prepared for seeding.
Winter 2010
The second harsh winter in a row saw the meadow covered in snow and hard frost for weeks on end.
Autumn 2010
The feeding station was built in the autumn of 2010 by Mike “Mikie” Rimmer, (Site Supervisor and bespoke joiner) and placed at the West corner of the meadow.

The pond liner is fitted into place in the wetland area, ready for filling and trimming to size.

Students and staff prepare the meadow for seeding and planting. Stones are gathered for laying the paths around the meadow.
Marsh Cudweed (Gnaphalium uliginosum) is found and identified during the days activities.

First flowers appear, Corn Poppies (Papaver rhoeas)
Also found on the same day, on the path behind Stoker block leading to the meadow, Liverworts (Marchantia polymorpha)

Ground works commence 29/05/10
